Here are just a few of the latest developments at THE COLD CONSORTIUM. For more information please contact us.
For one of the Channel Islands dairies the preparations for the new tourist season are well in hand with the arrival of new refrigerated vehicles for their wholesale and door-step deliveries.
A Fiat Ducato Maxi fitted with a GAH RC21, and an Isuzu chassis cab equipped with a Cold Consortium designed and manufactured box body featuring flush fitting, external sliding side doors and a rear insulated shutter. GAH refrigeration was again chosen to cool the load.
The Cold Consortium were given the task of developing the GAH Arrow AF20 freezer refrigeration system as an ‘Under-Bonnet’ unit to fit the new FIAT Scudo for one of ready-meal home delivery companies. The deep-freeze conversion is to ATP C standard, with modular rear doors. The un-cluttered roof line assists with keeping fuel usage down and a noticeable reduction in wind noise has been achieved when compared with a roof-mount condenser fridge.
The Cold Consortium completed another conversion for a Yorkshire courier company specialising in transporting product between -250C and +250C. The FIAT ‘Pocket Rocket’ Fiorino also had to be capable of loading a metric pallet. This was not a problem for The Cold Consortium conversion using the best possible insulation panels and the usual TCC attention to detail.
Light weight, looks good and attention to detail make The Cold Consortium moulded, insulated box body the ideal choice for the discerning operator.
As with this customer, if you are selling premium produce, the quality of your transport is very important.
The Ford Transit is fitted with a 4m Body with double rear doors.
A Furgocar shelving system to each side completes the interior fittings
A Diavia Frigo refrigeration unit with under-bonnet condenser supplies the temperature control for the valuable cargo.
Langlands Garden Centre of Shiptonthorpe in East Yorkshire took delivery of their newly converted Renault Traffic to coincide with their business expansion into West Yorkshire. The Traffic will transport prepared foods from the head office in East Yorkshire to their new garden centre and cafeteria near Leeds.
The Cold Consortium chill conversion is complemented with a Diavia refrigeration system modified to allow operation of the Renault factory fitted air-con option in conjunction with the transport refrigeration unit.
Mr. Moos Ice Cream of the East Riding of Yorkshire chose the Volkswagen T5 Transporter and a Deep-Freeze conversion from The Cold Consortium to take care of his deliveries for his well-know dairy ice creams. The new vehicle has been spotted at various markets and food fairs around the county.
The refrigeration system is Carrier Xarios with single phase stand-by.
Keeping our customers moving and contented is second nature to The Cold Consortium. So, when one of our customers had a requirement for a quantity of Mercedes Benz Sprinters to be converted into twin compartment Deep-Freeze delivery vehicles ready for the Christmas rush we made sure they were not disappointed.
The ATP Class C conversion called for Deep-Freeze side doors and rear door modules, mattress mid-bulkheads, temperature recorders and GAH SRF refrigeration units.
